Accommodation

Our 15 luxury bungalows feature all the elegance of Thai tradition and culture and nestle within an acre of lush landscaped gardens. All our bungalows are en-suite and embody the charm and elegance of classical Thai interiors; traditional handy-crafts, rich textiles and delicately carved wooden furnishings. At night, you can gaze at the stars from your spacious private balcony or as you take a stroll along the beach.

The bungalows are larger than average with a spacious and airy feel. There is plenty of room to unpack, spread your belongings around and make yourself at home for the duration of your stay. Each bungalow is equipped with Satellite TV, Mini-Bar with Fridge, Coffee & Tea Maker, en-suite bathroom with Hot Shower, Slippers, Bathrobe and an Umbrella. Each bungalow also has a very large private balcony with sea view or garden/pool view, and all are no more than a few moments walk from the beach.

Our 10 luxury Deluxe Pool Villa Bungalows are located slightly higher up the hill, and are arranged around the large swimming pool. The bungalows are set within the natural palm trees that cover the hill, and the gardens around the bungalows have been landscaped to include many brightly coloured tropical flowers and plants. Each bungalow has a spacious balcony that overlooks the pool area, and the beach is only a flight of wooden steps away.

With some of the best dive sites in Thailand and the World, located within easy reach of Ko Lanta, Baan Laanta’s PADI Dive Centre ‘Scubafish‘ is an ideal place to dive from whether you’re starting out, fun diving or continuing your diving education. With spectacular reefs, unmatched marine diversity and great visibility, Ko Lanta offers the convenience of day-diving with the chance to enjoy the relaxed and laid back atmosphere of island life.

Scubafish offers year-round, daily diving trips leaving directly from the beach in Kantiang Bay - saving you hours of valuable holiday time. We know your holiday time is precious and we want to make sure you get the most out of it!

Scubafish offers you a relaxed and safe environment from which to dive. We offer the full range of PADI Scuba Diving courses, using the latest multi-media learning resources. You’ll receive expert supervision and guidance from our team of PADI professionals. You can expect a relaxed and personal service both above and below the water.

We are an approved Mares and Cressi Dive Centre and our luxury dive boats and equipment is of the highest standard. Scubafish’s experienced dive team has a wealth of local underwater knowledge built up through thousands of dives in this area. Our love of diving, combined with our personal teaching methods mean that we offer rewarding dives, regardless of your experience. The idyllic and peaceful surroundings make Scubafish the perfect place to dive, whether you are diving for the first time, or you are an experienced diver already.

Ko Haa’s white-sand beaches, stunning karst islands, crystal clear waters, shallow lagoon and beautiful reefscapes make this site a photographer’s dream and is one of the best macro sites in the area.

Ko Haa’s central lagoon area is ideal for beginner divers and snorkellers and provides a safe, nursery-area for many juvenile fish species.

The Lagoon offers a shallow and relaxed starting point for you to take your first underwater breaths. Meet 'Porkie' the friendly Porcupine Puffer Fish, spot Ghost Pipefish and Octopus and look out for Hawksbill Turtles that are often seen swimming amongst the pristine coral. Manta Rays, Marble Rays, Eagle Rays and even Whale Sharks are spotted here occasionally.

The Lagoon is also ideal for all kinds of Underwater Photography - especially Macro-Photography.

Ko Haa’s highlights include The Lagoon, The Cathedral and The Chimney. You can also explore underwater pinnacles, drop-offs, walls, bolders, caverns, inter-connected chambers and swim-throughs.

Cooking School

Baan Laanta’s Cooking School 'Spices & Herbs' is located just a few minutes walk from Baan Laanta Resort in Kantiang Village.

Learn to cook popular Thai dishes with Spices & Herbs’s Master-Chef. Explore the many exotic and aromatic tastes of Thailand. Have fun as you learn how simple many Thai dishes are to make by yourself at home.

Each Cooking Class takes a different theme that will teach you how to prepare ingredients and combine spices and herbs to create authentic Thai dishes.

All instruction is under the supervision of Spices & Herb’s Master-Chef who has more than 15 years experience in Thai cuisine.

Please book at least 1/2 day ahead.

Courses run everyday- Monday - Sunday.

Morning Class: 10:00am - 1:00pm
Afternoon Class: 2:00pm - 5:00pm

Swimming Pool

Baan Laanta’s swimming pool and shallow children’s pool can be found in a shady area with elevated views out over the bay. Take a dip in the cool brown-tiled pool that has become somewhat of an attraction in itself at the resort.

The pool is situated on an upper level with views out across the bay. There are sunloungers and cool shower provided for you.

The dive centre uses the pool in the afternoons to conduct training for their student divers. If you would like to try diving in the pool, we offer a free trail dive in the pool to all our guests. Please contact the dive centre for further information.

Baan Tour

Baan Tour offers a range of services to make your stay here easier. You can book onward travel, flights, accommodation as well as day trips and tours. Book your 4 Island Tour direct with Baan Laanta on their own traditional Thai longtail boat.

Restaurant

Bay Front Restaurant

Baan Laanta’s Bay Front Restaurant offers stunning views over Kantiang Bay and has a truly amazing seafood BBQ every evening serving the largest, fresh prawns you’ve ever seen Choose from a selection of locally caught fish and seafood that is cooked to your specifications right in front of you. Our fresh seafood is supplied by local fisherman who’s daily catch is delivered directly from their longtail boats to our restaurant, ensuring you get really fresh fish and seafood from the Andaman Sea, everyday.

The Bay Front restaurant is open daily from 7:00am - 22:00pm serving a wide selection of delicious Thai dishes and variety of popular Western, Indian and Malay dishes. Dine in style overlooking the magnificent crescent-shaped curve of Kantiang Beach. Baan Laanta’s Bay Front Restaurant is situated right on the beach of Ba Kantiang.

To compliment your meal, choose from a variety of imported wines, champagne and popular local drinks. There is usually a fireshow on the beach to supply an exciting backdrop to your meal.

Aqua Bar

Overlooking the beautiful bay, Aqua Bar serves a selection of fresh fruity cocktails, wines and local & imported beer. The relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and chilled music make this one of the most popular bars on the beach to enjoy a sundowner before a stroll along the beach to enjoy the sunset’s Ko Lanta is famous for.

The Aqua Bar is open daily from noon until midnight. Built in classic, wooden, Thai-beach-hut style with trashed grass-roof, this quaint bar overlooks the beach and is a shady oasis from the heat of the sun. Seating is provided in the form of bar stools or lounge-styled chairs. There is also a wooden deck area with cushions to relax on.

Aqua Bar’s speciality is an exotic mix of fresh, tropical fruit cocktails. The extraordinarily refreshing Lime Daiquiris and Strawberry Margaritas are among the house favourites.

The Spa

Baan Spa

Truly relax and treat yourself to one of Baan Spa’s relaxing treatments. Our experienced massage therapists offer original traditional Thai massage, oil body massage and our popular foot massage.

Baan Spa is open daily from 10:00am to 22:00pm. Indulge in a superb experience during your holiday with a massage overlooking the beach. We also offer a variety of scrubs, wraps and other treatments to make your skin feel refreshed and invigorated.

Thai Massage is an ancient Thai tradition that aims to soothe and heal the mind, body and spirit through stretching, deep tissue massage and pressure points.

The benefits of a Thai Massage can include: stress relief, deep relaxation, warmed and stretched muscles, healing energy flow, greater flexibility, increased and focused energy levels, prevention of injury, relief from sore and aching muscles and joints, detoxification, and a feeling of confidence and well-being.
